Coming soon to TV CONFIDENTIAL: Acclaimed television director Howard Storm (MORK & MINDY, RHODA, TAXI) on the many ways in which growing up on the mean streets of the Lower East Side of New York prepared him for the often rough-and-tumble world of show business, including performing as a stand-up comedian in mob-owned nightclubs and strip joints in the 1950s; working as an actor in the ’60s and early 1970s, including the Broadway production FUN CITY and alongside Howard Hesseman and Peter Bonerz as a member of the improv group The Committee; and directing such forces of nature as Beatrice Arthur, Gabriel Dell, Jonathan Winters, Jim Carrey, Lauren Hutton, Phil Foster, Penny Marshall, and Robin Williams. Howard’s memoir, THE IMPERFECT STORM: From Henry Street to Hollywood (which he co-authored with Steve Stoliar), is available now through BearManor Media
