Coming soon to TV CONFIDENTIAL: Emmy Award winner BEAU BRIDGES on collaborating with his daughter, EMILY BRIDGES, in adapting ACTING: THE FIRST SIX LESSONS, a textbook originally published by acting teacher and Stanislavski disciple Richard Boleslawski in 1933, into both a compelling play and a compelling film; why adapting the source material into a play was much like whittling a stick; and why Boleslawski’s teachings have had a special place in the Bridges family for three generations. Beau also answers a few questions about his early TV roles, as well as his approach to playing such historical figures as Benjamin Franklin, James Brady, and John Wooden. Beau and Emily will perform a staged reading of ACTING: THE FIRST SIX LESSONS at Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon, California on Friday 9/17 beginning at 8pm. See Theatricum.com for tickets and more information. The film version of Acting: The First Six Lessons will be screened on Sunday 9/12 as part of the Burbank International Film Festival; Beau and Emily will take part in a Q & A after the screening. See BurbankFilmFest.org for more details on that event
